Just a warning if you are currently looking for an Audi S3 ..... dont buy a Ming Blue 2001 one with registration Y426 OJM.... It was recently sold on ebay (very cheaply!) and I had been emailing him about it - he then claimed that the high bidder had backed out because of some dead pixels on the DIS. The car looked great.... 1 previous owner, all original, 66k miles etc etc and apparently HPI clear. We agreed a price last night on the phone but I decided to get my own HPI done for peace of mind. Found out that according to the national mileage register (NMR) this 66k car with supposedly FSH from Audi had actually done 62k miles when it was only a year old in 2002, and 108k miles by 2004.... so I would guess it must be knocking on 130k now. I checked the NMR info with Audi and their service records info confirmed it. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Audi-S3-Quatt...6QQihZ002QQcategoryZ10372QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem I wasnt going to post this, but I hate the idea of anyone getting stung. Also, the bloke has ignored phone and email since, so I'm guessing he knew.... which really pissed me off. I also notice that the "high bidder" that supposedly backed out is also registered in Surrey, and also bid on one of his other auctions recently so I am suspecting it is the same person or a mate. There genuinely are bargains about, and I took too long deciding on a very genuine one owner 2002 one at an extremely low price recently. However, there are plenty of dodgy ones about too!
