    [IMG][IMG]Hey every one!
Been off today so car got a needed wash and genral check under bonnet. Ive noticed that most the wiring as no plastic shielding that
go's around the wires or has some but it's short. Im sure my old A3 didn't have wiring showing like this.
    Anyone elses the same?
    Looks vunrable to me.

Nope, you shouldn't be able to see the wires, apart from maybe on the two wire cable.

Either they come like this from factory or it's a common'ish condition that develops, because both of my A3s had connections that looked like yours.

Mine came from the factory like this. No idea why as it looks a bit **** and surely not that much effort to add some cable boots!

The top one looks similar to the headlights connector and I know 100% that there's supposed to be a clip that attaches to that lip as I've had to open it up myself. Here's a photo of the headlights connector on my car, the black line indicates where that lip is:

The bottom one looks right though as the guys said.

Oem looking tape is very cheap from the dealers, and can easily be added to any wires showing to disguise them.
