work is being done to the s3 and accidently had front passenger side axle pop out. I know some cars need to have the axle pop in in a certain orientation. is the s3 the same case?
I cant see the inside unless I open the cv boot itself and thats a whole different set of work since I dont know if ill need to regrease it in addition to getting a new strap. so this is not a route I want to go.

to clarify.
front passenger axle that is attached to the transmission/diff box. not the side of the wheel hub.

Should just pop back in tbh, unless its tripodic end & 1 if the sides has popped of, for total peace of mind I guess pop CV open gave a look at the end then add what grease falls out & refit, you could reuse a clip if removed well.

I've had the passenger drive shaft pop out a few times on the 8P, a simple twist to align the shaft and push and it's popped back in no problem.
I would think the 8V will be the same
