I got a key off ebay a while ago and audi could'nt program the immobiliser. The central locking worked off it but could'nt start the car. They have quoted me £60 for the immobiliser part of key and then a further £60 for programming it. They already charged me £60 for trying to program the ebay one that never worked!! I know i'll have to buy the part off the dealer but I was wondering if I can get it programmed anywhere else for a lot cheaper? The key is a 3 button transponder for a 53 plate A4. Any help much appreciated.

ONLY if you know your immobiliser pin code.

if you do, then you can program your key with vagcom.

if you dont know the code, then you could look into buying vagtacho, which may be able to read your immobiliser pin code.

someone on here with both bits of software may be able to help you.

erm...vagtacho...

not even audi will be able to tell you. when they program keys to an immob, their machine talks directly to (for argument's sake) Audi HQ via the net to get the code. the technician/dealers never seens the code themselves.
