I have the RNS-E system fitted in my B7 A4 and I was wondering if the crappy sounding subwoofer is powered by an amplifier, I think I read something on another thread about this maybe being located in the boot somwhere but can someone point me in the right direction?

Nearly all Audis have an amp of some sorts.
Non bose is for rear speakers and sub only
Bose is all front/rear and sub
Usually on the right hand side of the boot is the sub
