Might be a daft question but I've done a vagcom and got

    16486
    16514
    17956
    01423

I didnt clear them all i know two are from when i unplugged them to see if there was any difference in performance to find the fault.I wondered because I've not cleared thr faults will it run in soft limp mode. its not boosting checked all intercooler clips now.

Scanned but not looked them up yet I see...

Go here and post the descriptions and links as the codes mean nowt...
    Category:Fault Codes - Ross-Tech Wiki

    The first code for example
    16486/P0102/000258 - Ross-Tech Wiki

16486/P0102/000258 - Mass Air Flow Sensor (MAF/G70): Signal too Low

This will cause poor performance.. I'll leave you to look the others up :)

    16486 - maf
    16514 -lamba
    17965 - boost pressure (n75)

    01423 lateral acceleration sensor

i unplugged both 16486 and 17965 myself with engine running so i thought there are there because of me. I wondered because i have unplugged/re plugged the fault is still there so will it still effect my boost

They aren't the vcds descriptions though and posting the proper descriptions help others help you..

Clear the codea and see what comes back... faults like the maf and n75 will affect performance... you may want to log stuff too
