I'm a DJ from Birmingham, I haven't played out in a while for many reasons but my home setup seems to be getting dyer and fancy a bit of a change. I may go the CDJ2000 route but unsure wether it's worth it for home use. Only want something I don't have to carry CD's round with...

Anyway, post up your home setups! X ImageUploadedByTapatalk1345325117.400802.jpg

Quite retro, hence wanting to upgrade.

    Retro? That ain't retro.

What ever happened to a pair of SL 1210's and a cross fader?

Well tbf, I agree. I'm not liking the way DJing is going anymore. I know of DJs not even beat matching. I find CDJ's cheating even.

By retro, I mean low end CDJ's. I'll rephrase that to poverty spec setup.

My bro has a nice setup but its all packed away at the mo as he has moved house recently, he has 2 x SL1210s, a Pioneer CDJ of some sort and I think its a pioneer mixing deck too, was quite a nice setup with some lovely B&W speakers.

Whats your DJ Name Reyes and do you play out in Brum at all, what genre of music do you play?

Cannot go wrong with vinyl. It's ashame DJing has gone the way it has. So many DJs now aren't even passionate about music. Just want to get paid.

I DJ around Birmingham and Pierre Reyes is the name I use. I play tech house, progressive house and some trance.

My most recent set was months ago now due to work:

    -The Rooftop Afterparty
    -Arcadian Birmingham
    -MINT Birmingham
    -LUSH Wolverhampton
    -HMV institute - Main room
-Innov8 (formerly known as DV8) Birmingham
    -The Terrace Tamworth

    From different unforeseen circumstances (different management etc) I was gutted that I couldn't play this year at;
    -Bora Bora Beach Ibiza
    -Gatecrasher Birmingham

Both short warm up sets but hey, better than wishing.

Just a home setup, used to do a little djing in the past at local clubs etc... they are gathering dust these days :(

    2 X Denon DN-S3200's (Custom Slipmats)
Behringer DDM4000 mixer (Digital + Midi)
I also have a MacBook with VDJ, Traktor etc... and midi cables for the mixer.

Great setup and does its job very well! Although im thinking of selling as they just dont get used :(
