Wow. I'm getting an extra 3mpg, and that's mixed town and motorway. Definitely worth doing.

haha ye I bought 4 before, biggest waste of money ever. Dani, go to a motor factors and just get the same size o rings for peanuts.

I think top and bottom are the same size on my injectors, not sure on others.

I got my cleaner on Saturday, its bloody tiny lol. From looking at the pics it looks pretty big lol. Not bothered at all as it does the job intended but I thought it would be much bigger from looking at pics of it lol.

Hi Dave sorry to hijack, what size is the blue pipe you used on your N249 bypass and FPR is it all 4mm inside diameter or is it larger on the FPR, Is it just standard silicon pipe on the FPR or fuel resistant and is there fuel going through that blue pipe on the top of the FPR or is it just a vacuum pipe, and lastly what type of clips have you used Cheers mate :salute:

    Thanks chris

I got 3mm internal fits very snug...you dont really need clips on, i just used the ones that came off...standard silicone no fuel goes in them

    5.5mm allen key I think I used.

Ive just done mine, took less than 5 min to get everything off and in the cleaner, also cleaned the rail too while everything was drying. I cleaned mine twice (480 seconds each) and the first time you couldnt even see the injectors once finished but I think that is down to the surface dirty too. The second time the solution was still quite clean when finished. Will give it a drive later and see how it feels. Oh mine started first time like normal.

    Thanks S3 Nattie.

Would that be the same size as the bolt thats used for the AIT/IAT sensor (near the throttle body)? I'm about to head out, but haven't got time to check my allen keys first!

Also, do you need an especially long allen key?

    Sorry for all the questions!

Was either a 5 or 5.5mm allen key for the 2 bolts and the IAT sensor is probably the same.

Use a long nose allen key to undo the 2 bolts for the fuel rail.

I wouldn't use washing up liquid as I can imagine it getting quite frothy! Water on its own should still clean it quite well as it's the ultrasonic waves that do all the cleaning work. I'm doing my injectors again this week in preperation for the Ring trip.

Get it done in the next 2 weeks mate, you'll be amazed. It only takes an hour to get all the injectors off, bathed a few times, then all back together.

Check everything is back together correctly and all connectors plugged in. I had this and then realised I had forgotten to plug the throttle body connector in!
