DIS/VAGCOM HELP!

Hi has anyone on here ever fitted a dis stalk to a b7 a4 sline before and then programmed it with vagcom help please

I'd be interested in this as the A4 3.0 tdi Q that we've just bought does not have DIS???, i was under the impression that all cars nowadays were able to show average and instantaniuos mpg, miles driven and miles left???

mine only shows miles left and has no switch in the stalk end??

a retrofit option would be nice.

anyone have any ideas??
