Ive recently bought my S3 and am sure that the sub has either been blown or the the voice coil hs been damaged by a previous owner.

If you put it on anything over +1 base then the sub splutters and stops working or cuts in and out dependant on the track and level of base!

Any of any ideas, and if it is blown whats the best way to replace it.

Is it as easy as just putting i.e a jl audio 6 inch sub in the box instead?

Thanks

Just buy a replacement on ebay, they go for around £70 or if you want a drastic improvement then a stealth sub:

You can't fit anything else in the tupperware box as the tupperware box is half the problem, the other half is the feeble amp which won't drive anything other than the 2 x 4" Bose drivers.

Have a word with Andymac on here as he's the guy for this stuff, he also sells a replacement for this which is an upgrade iirc, reports have been glowing, so if its indeed gone, he can get you sorted.

& there he is.
