Dip stick guide

Checking my oil today and when I pulled out the dip stick the tube that holds the dip stick broke off got a new one coming but my question is how do I remove the bit of tube that's left on so I can fit the new one ????

I had to do this on my old Golf. Luckily for me mine was really brittle and came away in bits. New one just clicked on.

Yeah, I broke mine. Just broke it off carefully to make sure nothing fell in the engine.

Got mine of eBay for about £7 iirc

I've just changed mine on my A4 B6 because it broke aswell and I followed this guide DIY: B6 1.8T Dipstick Replacement
