different width wheels front and back on 4wd???

    right i have a 2000 a3 quattro and i have seen some porsche wheels i want which are 9j rear and 8j front.
    the tyres are 215 and 225/40s

    need to know if this will cause any damage to my car seen as it 4wd and diff widths front and back??

    Depends if you have a LSD between front and back wheels.

    And if you're really worried there are tyre combinations you can get which will make the rolling radius the same anyway.
