Is there much difference say I was to get a AFN out of a Passat rather than a A4 or are they the same?

as long as the engine is out a passat and not a sharan or a golf. the passat's engine sits on the same subframe as the A4 as they sit the same. IE longitudinal
they have the same mounts and gearbox.

The transverse versions have different engine codes though.

My wife's Seat Alhambra has an AFN engine code and has completely different mounts compared to my A4 or the Passat I broke.
and Ive just done an engine swap on the Alhambra and have looked to see if they were the same.
