Apart from the ride height, what are the exterior differences as i was comparing both today and it only seemed like the rear spoiler was the difference???

    thanks in advance

The different front and rear bumpers on the S-Line were originally part of the S-Line styling pack which was an extra cost option over the basic S-Line spec. They've now been merged into a single S-Line product but on older cars where the styling wasn't specified, they'll look exactly like a standard Sport.

Before the facelift in summer 2005 the only visable difference apart from the badges was the rear spoiler. The bumpers and grill were the same as the sport, post facelift the bumpers changed as Vertigo1 correctly stated.

    Differences were :

    External :
18" RS6 style wheels on Sline. Sport had 17" rims.
Sline badges on side rubbing strips. Original Slines had a quattro badge instead of Sline on the front grille.
    Bumpers were the same
2005 MY Slines had a rear window spolier (pre 05MY didn't have them i.e. pre July 2004 or so delivery)

    Internal :

Different 3 spoke wheel (fully perforated initially) with Sline badge at bottom
Perforated gear knob on manual cars
Dark headlining on Sline with vanity mirror lights
Part leather Speed cloth seats wth black or silver cloth inserts - originally not with Sline logo
Brushed aluminium inlays in doors a no cost option

Think that was it from memory of my one from a couple of years ago.

Brushed ally wasn't an option. They were fitted with piano Black.

Yes it was as I had it. Came out in the 2005 MY updates in May 2004, along with the addition of the rear spoiler. I took delivery of mine in July 2004. Piano Black was the standard but the brushed aluminium was a no cost option.

Did the pre-facelift S-line even have suspension?

OK, i'll put it a different way. When I ordered mine in December 2004, for 01/03/05 delivery, it wasn't available.
