Did someone say rust ? With pic

Evening guys

I was wondering if anyone could help i have the dreaded rust on my drivers door by the sill does anyone know if this is beyond repair. Car is 1998 a3 agu 1.8t

No rust is really 'Beyond repair' just depends on time and money.. that looks pretty minor to be honest, I've replaced sections around suspension mounts on an e30 before to get it through an MOT.

Grant that looks like bubbling along the bottom I would of said that it could be ground out, from what I can remember when I saw it it hadn't gone rotten through the bottom edge.

Tbh it looks better in the pic then in real life could i do this myself or have to get a bodyshop or someone else to do it

Grinding the rust out isn't a hard job mate just need a grinder with the right disc in my opinion, then treat the rust and prime it, then you'll prob find it would need the door to be sprayed to keep it the same colour, a body shop could spray the door and blend it to the same colour as the rest of the car tho
