I am considering giving my newly acquired S4 a full valet, in and out as well as the engine bay - how much should I aim to pay - does round the 100 + VAT mark sound about right? I also want the leather recaro's to be cleaned + protected.

    Thx

I am in Surrey (near Guildford) - thanks guys, but I already have a potential detailer - wanted to check if what he quoted me (110 + VAT) is about right/reasonable?? Do i need to ask about products for leather /wax he uses etc?

£60-£80 in my area mate, but it does depend on how long it takes and what you are having done to it, £100 sounds about right if its the full monty, Dont know why the VAT is being charged, most detailer's dont make enough money to start to pay it!

They'll be a difference in results and price for the car being either valleted and detailed. Everyone will have their own definitions, but do you want the car cleaned then waxed, or do you want it corrected as well? Anyone can do the first, but I'd research the second very carefully. I'd expect to pay £250/300 ish upwards for a days work correcting the paint on a car

common sense will always be helpful when it comes down to pricing, most experienced detailers will kind of know how long it takes to do a job, over price it for johnny ford mondeo and you wont get the job,

I do a fleet of Ferraris who are owned by 1 man in my area at his mansion in the countryside, He pays me £1000 for spending 2 whole days at his home including bed and breakfast and all the food and drink served by the maid or butler that i want for doing his cars that come out only on the weekends if its not raining, otherwise the cars are under cloth covers is a sealed air tight temperature controlled room, No i wont say who he is but all i can say is he is connected to Silverstone in a very big way.

Simon S4 only asked for a full valet. Our paint correction stage's are priced on our website.

there's a very big difference between a valet and a full on paint correction detail and that reflects in the price and the time taken

colly 915 is what we use for winter protections as its a really durable and lasts for like 6 mnths even through the harsh winters we are having. DoDo is used in summer to give that extra for the car

agree with grant there's more to it than just waxing a car the prep work is the important bit otherwise the paint will not have any depth to the colour

I would say the finish is 90% down to the prep.
