    Hey,

I've had search through the "detailing threads" and other stuff, but can't find anything specific to blue or similar shades...

I've got Meg's Hyperwash, and the clay kit, but what do I use to get a gleaming, wet-look finish.

I've heard Raceglaze Signature Series '55' is awesome, but this is for the final finish, which polish do i use before?

    Thanks.

peety, another thing is to log onto detailingworld.co.uk top forum and you'll get some really good advice (varied)

polished bliss are good, i have used them before, well worth reading their stickies in the detailing section if you havent already - i use the werkstat acrylic kit on mine and love it, although the rest of cleaning kit is different to what PB recommended based on personal preference from knowledge sought off detailingwrold

member on here - jimmeh is a good chap for advice too, really knows his stuff:thumbsup: even if he doesnt have real aluminium mirrors:whistle2::)

Some fantastic advice given here already so there isn't much else to say. I've PM'd you to give you some advice on how far you wish to go with it, that to me is a fundamental question and would dictate the outcome of advice given.

Some Products which are excellent and proven:

Collinite - Waxes of high durability and give great results for little money.

DoDo Juice - Again excellent product range, catering for all types of colours with specifically made waxes for colour types.

Zymol - Expensive waxes which are great, these waxes cater for paint types i.e Ferarri (italian), Porsche (german) paints etc. They make very good waxes and have been around in this wax game for years and years.

Swissvax - Again more expense here. I've used their waxes many times and find them really good.

Victoria - Canadian company who make a nice little selection of waxes. I use this on my own car. Fairly cheap and gives outstanding results.

It depends on budget and what you type of finish you wish to achieve on the car.

Some here like me have an OCD with their cars and detailing them, moreso over on detailingworld.com though. :)

Thanks & good luck! Feel free to PM for anything!

Super Resin Polish and the Collinite 476swhich is the best wax in it's price category, imo. As Mr G said, it's main property for me is its durability and the finish is also excellent (for normal users..not detailers)

you can get a pot for 16-17 on ebay and it will be a very long time before you buy another one

i use turtle wash and wax, then the meguiars clay bar occasionly and finnish off with the 3 stage meguiars kt, however i dont do that every time i was the car but i do polish it fairly often with the meguiars polish,
seems to work for me im chuffed with how shiney my car looks, took a while to get right though as the previous owner didnt clean it as often as i do

As many posts above, I have been detailing for sometime now.. I have now got one the meguires boot organisers full of all sorts of products.

I tend to use AutoGlym Glass Polish\Fast Glass on the windows, AutoGlym Super Resin Polish on the bodywork, and the Meguires Clay bar kits.

Mainly due to limited budget, and time available to do the detail.

Ohh I forgot - I got one of these recently.. Not had chance to use it yet though. Thats on the cards for the weekend, then a photo shoot over at the Humber Bridge on sunday will hopefully show off all the hardwork!
