I have a 8p 1.6 FSI for reference, ive found the following ...

£350 JAMEX
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/JAMEX-Coilove...arts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item35a3e7abfd

£455 GMAX
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Gmax-Coilover...arts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item334e8446da

£270 TA ???

£250 HOTTUNING ???? !!!

As you can see they vary in price big time, but will the cheapest do the job just as good, bare in mind this is just a 1.6 which is a weekend car and is for purely looks only ... no perfomance/handling gains wanted.. just lowness...

Any one reccomend/give me the headsup?

Ta :)

have you got a picture of the effect they produced??

I.E the uber lowness mmmm scrape ;D

hot tuning out of the ones listed above, otherwise kw ride amazing and give the lowest drop.

have you used hot tuning? they are also the cheapest?

Are they a good set of coillies??

Also will coillies + 18'' rims go well? i dont like the ride of 19's tbh ..

Hot Tuning coilovers cost about £30 to make, they are made of cheese, stop being a tight *** and buy the weitecs, this is the audi forum not the corsa forum

my thoughts n8 tbh lol but he said hot tuning so i presumed he had used them :p

any one got a pic of rs6 alloys on coillies 18''?

it says
Weitec Hicon GT Coilover Suspension Kit
A3 8P / A3 8P Sportback 1.4T Si, 1.6, 2.0FSi FWD 05/03>

'sportback'?

and i notice other brands have a different set for sportbacks, not a generic set for both?

yeh i picked up on that but what im saying is other brands do 2 different kits, one for sport back one for hatch back... so how come they are doing one kit for both ? its just abit wierd

when you get cheap coilovers they are very much the same product branded differently and with a different price tag.

My friend has them on his car, while a slightly more bouncier ride than my H&R's they are very good for the money and spending an extra £100 on Jamex coilovers the difference will be marginal.

In my experience you either spend big money and see big improvements in construction quality, drive ability, ride quality and handling, or buy cheap and achieve a drop while compromising a few other aspects.

stay away from fk's, mid range coilovers which rust..badly!
