After a long period of problems the Audi has finally gone, 1 problem after another, the money spent on her from the start I could of bought a new car. Final problem was the dual mass flywheel and clutch, I was told they both needed replaced, i wouldnt of thought they would of needed replaced after just 55k miles. All in all a very bad experience of Audi's.

Tomorrow i pick up my new car, a Ford Focus, i know its going over to the dark side but im just a bit pissed off with Audi at the moment.

    Its Died to me.

After £8000 spent in the last 3years to get her sorted, i think i would be stupid to spend any more on her.

Most of the work was done by the stealer's.
Here's another one for you, put the car into the stealer's to get the timing belt done, only for them to strip it and tell me it was a chain not a belt. I thought they would of known that before i put it in.

With Phil, sounds like the wrong people have been dealing with the car.

My fords been better than my audi hands down. Both on similar mileage, the focus is bulletproof in comparison, and feels better to drive (for me at least).

You would of thought that the dealers would of had an idea, It was just 1 thing after another. From a whole new exhaust system, all the sensors in the exhaust system, the list goes on.

Mine's been very reliable over the past 5 years tbh.

Not really brother, I wouldn't have been paying their rates anyway.

Yep!! I agree, would never take my Audi to the stealers even if it was brand new!! Load of muppets, better off going to a reputable specialist!!

Bad dealers can make terrible impressions of good cars.
Audis are better put together than Fords. Thats a FACT.
Docklands Audi lost my engine tray after raping me of £379
for a small service then said it was my fault. They are snobs and their service was terrible.
As of last friday, they were out of business.

The Ford will be cheaper, on the plus side.
Sadly its because they fail more, and parts are in bigger demand, and of lower quality, so they are cheaper. Kind of convoluted savings.

To be honest, Ford's are good cars just not premium one's like Audi's that give you the better finish etc - They still do the job though!

My audi has failed more than my ford has so i'd have to disagree. Parts aren't necessarily of lower quality either. Most are manufactured to high standards. The germans just have the upper hand with build quality, but if u know anything about cars then u would know that ford have been pushing the benchmark higher and higher in the last decade for what the quality of an "average" car should be. For the mondeo to be considered comparable to the 3 series, then alot of progress has been made. And just out of curiousity, what was the last ford u owned and/or driven?

I was told a story by a very reliable source. A customers car was in for a service at the main dealer in this case it was VW but the dealer in question had the franchise for Audi too. Anyway the technician was seen to throw the brand new service parts into a skip as in his opinion they didnt need replacing. I dont believe he changed the oil or filter either bless him. The customer paid the bill for a full service.
