Just got back from Stoke Audi,had full service,plus brake fluid change and cambelt change £497 for the lot ............well worth the day out ,saved over £600

Great savings mate, might invest in the trip myself, I'll still save 500 quid.. timing belt is due in another 10K but rather be safe than sorry. Thanks for the tip

OMG, just had my A4 TDi Sport Avant in for its 86k full service and cambelt change and cost me £801 all inclusive all done at Links Audi Macclesfield.
They also told me that I needed a new anti-roll bar before my next MOT is due.....costing somewhere near £170 including parts and labour!!!!
If I knew about the servicing costs I might have gone for another German brand.... .

Booket my a4 2.4 for 60000 mile service longlife £ 189 andi its £330 for cambelt change and £46 for the water pump dealt with andrew

they should change the waterpump as it went on mine at 38k and also went on my last 20v Turbo golf. They use plastics fins/ impellers on them which over time snap / crack. Would be silly if they didn't change it when the cambelt is changed as its a simple job when the cambelt is off but you never know with Audi Stealerships

My water pump was replaced by the specialist but they put one on with metal impellors on it not plastic
Though it was a hell of a lot more expensive

Ive only got a 1.9 avant sport,so I suppose thats why mine was a bit cheaper,,my price didnt include the water pump,they said theyd look at it and if it was OK theyd leave it ....to be honest I wish I'd had it done now

Dunno ,I suppose it would be about £170 at the dealer I used,however others are charging up to £400.
Independents will probably do it for about £180 .
Only reason I stuck with the dealer was because of the special offer they had on servicing and it kept up the FASH,otherwise I would have used an Independent .

Well gave Andrew a call and got Sarah (not that i'm complaining) and asked for a quote for Cam Belt Water pump etc etc, I had been quoted £750.00+VAT by Smith Knight Fay, Sarah came back with £345.00 inc VAT booked in for next Friday.. how on earth can there be such a diff between stealers?

Stoke deserve the business whatever they are loosing in the cost they must be getting it back in the volume of trade generated by these sort of posts........I agree the greedy sods down here wanted over £100 for the same job !
