    Hey Guys,

I have seen a similar topic to this a few years ago but it didn't really help me out.

I have an Audi TT (2001) and have I just used VAG Tacho 2.5 to reset the mileage. But now it reads 999999. Even after driving it the mileage stays at the same.

I believe I need to talk to a specialist dashboard company to help me with this issue. Im from Derbyshire if anyone is local?

    Thanks

There was nothing wrong with the millage before. My engine warning light came on and i was trying to check the faults. But i played around with Vag Tacho a little too much and buggered it up.

This issue occurs when the checksum is incorrect inside the instrument cluster. This occurs often using the wrong tool on some versions of the Audi TT and Audi A3 (8L). It can now only be fixed by a specialist.

Clone vag tacho is a nasty tool, would only ever advise reading info with it, never writing. Ideal if you already have say genuine VCDS and just need your skc, but sometimes even then its no use!
