Hello and sorry if this has been asked before, I've had look and can't seem to find it though.......

I have a 2009 audi A3, black edition, Sportback and have noticed a lump on the dash today. The lump is just behind the centre console almost directly behind the right hand side air vent. The dash feels solid in general although the lump is about the size of a small finger tip and soft to touch. It's not that big and not too noticeable, possibly just the sun at the right level.

I know this is a little strange and maybe something unique to my car although just wanted to know if and what it could be. Is it a common thing? Is there any reason for this to be here? Any ideas or help would be appreciated.

thank you in advance for any replies.

I have similar on the dash directly in front of the passenger, above the glove box.

In the sun I saw a different shade spot about a finger tip size... I pressed it and it was soft, spongey.

Something to do with the airbag perhaps?

    anyone else got this?
