Dash lcd display.

Hi all, been bugging me since iv owned the car. The lcd panel doesnt work at all so had a quick look on google and kept coming up with the dead pixel repair. So whipped the clocks out to find this
Looks like some one has been in before me. Can this be repaired or is it a new clock set. Thanks for reading

There are ways to repair them if you are very good with s soldering iron. My a4 cab had a LCD fault but the ribbon cable isn't soldered in later cars.
