Damaged drivers door armrest - Repair or replace?

    After some forum advice on fixing a split in my drivers door armrest pad (see pic) :( Not sure what's caused it to crack and split like that, must have sharp elbows!

    Wondering if it's best to try and get repaired somewhere, try a wrap or something or just get a replacement from Audi? Anyone know if I'd need the whole door card or can I just order the pad section?

    Guessing the Sportback drivers door armrest will be different dimensions to my 2008 S3 3 door though?

    The other link mentions "Black leather S3 doorcards with red ambient lights (cracks in leather on driverside, common problem)" so with that, plus The Engineers comment, I see this is a common issue and not just me having razors for elbows! :haha:
