Take one standard A4 front bumper and one bored owner!

Seeing as the RS4 front is f%$ked again, and im in no hurry to have another re-done just now, i decided to have a play with my original bumper to use for the time being.

How it started

Pile of bits

Had some old filler to use up so just filling the seam to start and see how strong it makes it

And how it looks so far

Need to fill and sand a few times then add some decent looking mesh but its looking decent for what it is.

What have you done to the proper RS bumper?!

Your mods look interesting!

Thanks to my $hit steep drive ive caught it rather badly Kev

So it was whipped off! Will get another, just not for the time being!

This will be a budget S4 look for time being hopefully!

lol damm you foxmeister this is something i was doing , although i wasnt cutting into the lower spoiler, ive made mine to be direct replacements for the original grills , but with using rs4 mesh.........they not all finished yet as ran out off mesh and time

Ha, dont worry, sure you will get yours done before me. Get a thread up to show of your skills mate!

Mine is gonna need a good bit of time....and filler! And it wont be getting finish painting anytime soon, charger install is where the money will be going first this year!:racer:

Done a bit more sanding etc on the bumper, then put a guide coat on to see how it looks and if it needs a lot of work

The shape isnt too bad, and it looks like it could be made into something nice if a bit of time was spent on it

looking forward to seeing how it turns out.

Get a cupra lip or something to go on the underside of it?

I'm not gonna put a cupra lip on it because I've lowered car so bumper itself will be pretty close to road :)

Really thinking about this myself.

I wouldn't done that if I didn't have s4 body kit without front bumper on car.
And price for used s4 bumper is ridicilous + s4 bumper carriers no worth it.

I got my S4 front bumper + carriers and fogs for £46 from a local breaker.. that was with a set of passat b5.5 wiper arms :)

Well done sir :)
When I was looking for bumper I wasn't so lucky :-( cheapest what I found was on Ebay for 350 quid without fog lamp grilles
So I decided make something near to S4
It's challange :)

I just went for fiberglass one that needed some work. £30 on ebay :) Might not fit as well as the genuine one though, and I need to "modify" the sides of it so that it doesn't look like a cheap rs4 replica. Looking forward to seeing end result of yours.

Let me know how will fit.
I'll be making new lower central grille and fogs grilles on saturday. Still need to order honeycomb plastic mesh
I was thinking to customized OEM parts but it will be more work than make it from scratch.

Have a look in my thread. It isn't perfect because guy that sprayed it for me didn't use filler primer so you can see low spots. That's why I decided to spray rear bumper and skirts myself. Fitting wise, it is a lot of work to make it fit well with wings, but isn't bad. I don't use any grills etc - saving weight ;)

your one is for racing but my one is for daily use :-D well, looks good on pictures.
My bumper will be unique because no one would spend money and time to do something like that, you can buy fiber glass bumper for much less as you did, but As I said before it's challenge. :)

I managed to get S4 front bumper in noggy blue with grilles... For £300... Only problem is someone had siliconed the washer jet covers on. And when I went to put my new washer jets in it was off from where it wAs sealed on and I can't get the sealer off without damaging paint :( tar and glue maybe?

Heat from underneath.
