Custom exhaust pipe dia

Im thinking about a cat back system,but thought should i be making the dia bigger?

Ill probably get a remap and decat 160-70bhp not sure if it will make much difference.

make more lag? on a standard pd130?

is there any decat pipes available? ive seen some on ebay but heard they dont fit...mine being a quattro

If your getting a custom exhaust made you would be best getting them to make you a decat at the same time. You know it's perfectly matched to the rest of the system then.

i want to keep cost down.might buy a old cat and bash it out.
i was thinking decat middlebox with no rears...will i get that CCHHOOOOOOO noise? i hate that

Agreed with JimmyTDI. The full custom route is best. I too cannot find aftermarket de-cat for my B6 Cab quattro.

Decided to get just the rear boxes deleted, ill buy a cat and smash it up.
Will i get that silly choooo noise?

Only if you remove center box. You pretty much have to have a straight through exhaust to get that foul diesel dump valve noise.

Check what your cold start timing is set at for me mate , been playing with a Golf pd and it was 2.8btdc so its been altered to 5BTDC and so far it has had no trouble starting cold ( it did before adjustment)
