crankshaft seal tools and experience

    Hi , any body have experience with changing crankshaft seals? front and rear in the v6 12v? , and why audi sale a complete flage for the rear seal instead of saling the seal seperatly?

    any special tools but not expensive one to make job easier while removing the seals?

    any help will be appreciated

    cos they can charge you more and it has been pressed in perfectly square.
    Can;t say I have changed a V6 crank seal but it is no different to any other, so long as it goes in square, doesn't damage anything on the way in and everything is nice a clean with some fresh oil to help it in then you shouldn't have too much problem.
