Crankshaft info

I posted this a little while ago in the 8P section but thought I'd also hive it a go over here

Does anyone know what the actual differences in the crank shafts (2.0 tfsi) in the BWA 200bhp models with part no 06A 105 021 S and the 240/256/265 BWJ/BZC/BHZ with part no 06A 105 021 AR?

Can't find much on these just speculation etc but I know the part number was superseded in 2008 and they all now carry the AR number now?

Just wondered if anyone know of any info on these or had heard of any horror stories of failures etc of the earlier lower powered cranks?

Stace, speak to Jason, he'll know of any recalls or anything like that. He might even have some more detailed spec info too.

We have sent many of messages back and forth and can't find any info on it apart from that the part number was replaced in 2008 iirc and only the one crank is now used across the range?
