hi, just bought a 2002 S3 and the trim which holds the rear lock and number plate lights is corroded underneath, you can't see it but it is bugging me.
Its £76 from audi unpainted, is it easy to take off?
Thinking about fixing it myself, also what are the best websites for spares etc,
thanx in advance.

It might be covered by the 12 year anti corrosion warranty - it's worth a go before you shell out for a new one, just take it to your local dealer and ask.

Some members have had problems with the roof rails "bubbling" underneath the paint as a result of a poor galvanising (sp?) process and Audi have fixed these free of charge

i had corrosion on the roof rails, took it to my local dealer and they aproved the warranty claim, the work was done within a week. However some people havent been as lucky. i know there is at least one long thread on here all about it, may be useful to do a search for it.

trim is trim so it will not be covered
unless they are mugs so try it
