    Hi

We have retrofitted an RNS-E to my 2008 A3 sportback. The unit states that "telephone is not installed". I have factory bluetooth with GSM prep in the arm rest.

In VCDS there are a number of code options:

    § 0xxx?xx: Telephone/Telematic
§ 1 = Telephone not installed (Remote Feed Voltage for Microphone active)
§ 2 = Base Plate (Temic - Remote Feed Voltage for Microphone inactive)
§ 3 = Base Plate (Cullmann - Remote Feed Voltage for Microphone inactive)
§ 4 = Base Plate (Nokia - Remote Feed Voltage for Microphone inactive)
§ 5 = Telematic Europa (Remote Feed Voltage for Microphone inactive)
§ 6 = Telematic US (Remote Feed Voltage for Microphone inactive)
§ 7 = Base Plate diagnostic capable with Comfort Control

Which is the correct one for the bluetooth I have?

    Hope someone can help!

    Cheers

In the voice of Len Goodman "Severn"

But you should also recode your phone module to 0011422

Many thanks, after 1, 7 is one I thought least likely to be correct!!

Yes had guessed the phone needed recoding too, and had noted that exact code.

Will hopefully try it out tonight.
