Is this legal to do, the wiring is simple to make these come on when ignition is on and go off when headlights are switched on (if wanted).
When my wife gets home she's bringing my LED H11 bulbs i bought off ebay (got delivered but no one in to sign for them so had to be collect from sorting office) I'll get them fitted straight away to see how bright they are and take some pics.

    Here's the bulb i bought:

H11 XENON WHITE HIGH POWER 7.5W CANBUS LED CAR FOG LIGHT LED BULBS (pair) | eBay

Has anyone else fitted LED fog bulbs?

You can change DRL behaviour with vcds - change it to Canada if you have access to it and the fogs will be running all the time.

So is it legal to change normal fogs to these xenon LEDs? Would these work on an 03 cabriolet, just plug in to replace the old normal bulb, or more work required?
i'm guessing that as it isn't mandatory to have front fogs, you'd be ok? Plus, if they're not normal fog lights, the fuzz wouldn't stop you using them?

Fogs aren't legal to use if its not foggy.

Try explaining your fogs are actually DRL to plod. It won't go down well.

Are you sure about this on B6's? I've never heard of it before.

Apparently 2002 models you can have fogs as drls otherwise you have to mod the light switch to change side lights to fogs......simple wire cut and bridge op.

Tried the drl mod with vag com on my 2004 and it works but without light switch mod only my sidelights act as drl. They are always on when key is turned in the ignition.

Just changed my fog light bulbs to LEDs also and want to look further into doing the light switch mod.
