Hi,

Anyone with a remapped 140 2.0TDI, is there a noticable fuel saving/MPG increase?
Either with a stage 1 or 2.

Is the stage 2 worth doing or the stage 1?

Cheers,
Karl

I've always thought this is subjective on how you drive it. If you're heavy footed I don't think it makes a lot of difference, but where it seems to count is the car is more responsive therefore you seem to have to give it less pedal to get about, and I think is this where some of the savings are realised. It's going to be a couple of MPG at the most, so if you remap do it for the outright pleasure of the performance drive, and any extra MPG is bonus.

^^^ agreed, the fuel savings are not gigantic. I don't drive a TDI though, but I notice that I can get as much as a 1 liter less per 100 km cruising at about 90-100 km/hr. Overall however, my average has actually gotten worse because the car is just too much fun to drive gently...
