My main concern, and the reason I'm thinking of changing the snub, is that my engine - a V6 -goes through a distinct rough vibration period at 1800 rpm, and then smooths out again when the revs increase.
My 1.8t does that when pulling hard on boost since its remap, no idea why, but as you say, just keep your foot down and it levels out after 300 revs. I'd be keen to know if this is what the cause and cure could be............
