I apologise in advance if this has been answered already but I have only just heard of Connects2 and wondered how it differed from the Dension or Audi's own iPod Link, if at all?

And whilst I'm asking... I'm getting a new iPod video but am not sure between 30Gb or 60Gb - any advice?

Cheers :)

Just looking at the Connects2 stuff, seems like a lot of wiring tbh, the dension link i had in my S4 was a lot cleaner. Just one cable from the cradle into an adapter and then from the adapter one cable into the back of the head unit.

Oh, and you need the 60GB video pod :p

Agree with Olly, I tried the Connects2 and failed miserably and then bought the Dension and have been using it with a year and a half now working a treat. Installation was simple and when I moved it from my A3 to my A4 it was simple.
Just remember to connect the black cable to an earth on the back of the HU.

I'm not installing it myself though, because I'm getting a bluetooth kit too so am taking the car to a specialist to do both at the same time (and I dont think I'm capable myself!). They said they have switched from Dension to Connects2 because they had a few problems with Dension, so they say. I just wondered if it works in the same way as the Dension?

Also they will install it into the glovebox rather than mounted in a cradle on the dash - any thoughts on this?

Olly, I'm going for the 60Gb :D

i think the connects2 connects they same way tbh.
So long as you get to play your ipod through you car thats the main thing, be it dension or connects2

I've mine mounted on a cradle on the dash - I'll post a pic later for you to see.
