Hi

I have recently bought an Ipod shuffle hoping it would be able to connect to my '11' reg A6. When I plug the connector in it says "audi interface does not support this cable", does anyone have any ideas what the problem might be or how I can fix it?

Thanks

Because the shuffle only has limited functionality (it does not allow you to select tracks or swap play lists for instance) it has nothing to offer the MMI interface. The headphone jack on a shuffle is complex and unigue to the device to allow for the in-line controller that the iPod comes with and hence you cannot use a standard set of earphones with it or the AMI cable. To use the AMI interface you need a Nano, iPod Classic or iPod Touch from the current range. I am using an original iPod Mini and it also works fine and you might find one of those on eBay
