Concert II+ fascia - size/colour

Hi, got a mad plan to put an A3 Concert II+ into an A6 (C5) - before I rush out and buy one, want to know what size the fascia is (am figuring on modding it with fibreglass to fit). anyone have an idea of the overall dimensions? And is the colour like the A4/6 Soul black or more of a grey finish? thx

Seems allot of work for a basic unit tbh, also radio reception may not be as good, why not fit an rns-e, more money but at least they come with the right fascia & radio reception should be fine.

I can get an A3 Concert II+ for €50 with code. Plus the modding costs - negligible. I lose radio (rubbish where I live anyway) and gain MP3/Aux/IDTag

Or, I can pay €600 for an A6 RNS-E, which would look nice and shiny admittedly.

I'd rather put that sort of money towards my replacement car, hence my crazy plan; just don't want it to look like a dog's dinner...
