Concert 2 to Symphony 1 wiring problems

Hi guys,

I have a 2003 a3 1.8t AUM and have just swapped the concert 2 for a symphony 1. Got a couple of issues with the wiring:

1. It does not turn on/off with ignition (Has constant power)
2. It has no illumination for the buttons.

So i'm guessing its a can bus problem, as my car has can bus and the symphony 1 doesn't.

So my question is.... what's the easiest way to sort these two problems???

Also, no radio mode is displayed in the dis. Which must be all linked in to the same problem I guess. The can l and h pins are the same on both radios so I don't understand why this isn't working.

Can anyone please shed any light on this? Don't really want to buy a Symphony II if I can get away with it.
