hey guys, few quick questions, kw coilovers, am i right in thinking that the v3 are the best then v2 then v1? also im looking at getting the v1's due to not rly gonna need the v3's, how ever are the v2 worth the extra money? also were is the best place to ge them from, ive found v1's for £844, or is there another brand that you would reconmend, been more cost effective, the only reason im goin for coil overs overe shock n springs is so i can adjust the ride height to exactly how i want it.

    hope you can help
    cheers chris

cheers for your input mate, ive just learnt from readin bout them that the only differance between the v1's n v2's are the v2's have damper adjustment which i dnt think i'll benifit from, so i think i only need v1's just were is the cheapes place to get them from?

If you decided to go with coilovers than its a shame to go V1, you will benefit from V3 ALOT, since its the biggest advantage in coilovrers that you can adjust the hardness. Otherwise theres no point of buying coilovers, but if you a "styler" and are going only for the looks than you would be satisfied with springs. I have V3 and its amaizing!!!1

I'm also looking for some kw coils, so I went to the shop to ask them about the v1,v2,v3 and the best for me is the v1 because they are comfortable as the stock car and you can lower it 60+ mm, that's what I want, the v3 is for people who drive the car on roads and go weekends on the track, and the v2 is somethnig in the middle, nothing special...

As mentioned the V3's are really aimed for track use, for everyday road use I'd stick with the V1's. Give me a shout if you'd like a price.

I have the Variant 2s on my A3, as mentioned by luke  The ride is absolutley first class. It took my a while setting the adjustable damping up to the level that I am happy with, I wouldn't want it any softer, as its too bouncy and I wouldn't want it any harder, but if I ever do want to adjust then I have the option.

N8 have you got more than enough hight adjustment on the back. ie not having to loose the lock ring to get it sit right on 19's. mainly the back i've had issues with in the past.

Have they all got the same hight adjustment, or do you get more further up the range?

coil overs are suspension mate, instead of just lowering springs, or uprated shock and lowering springs, coilovers are a combination but you can adjust the ride height, and as mentioned the more expensive ones you can adjust the damping so it handles just how you want it, and paul1tdi, the kw range all adjuust the same amount in height, they just have different damper adjusters

No, all KW's will have the same range of height adjustment, 65mm is the lowest all round, which is what I'm running.
