Silly question but do you screw up to increase height or decrease and what sort of ideal height should I aim for ?

Its very easy. jack the car and remove the wheel and on the main shock body will be two notched rings underthe spring. If you want to higher the vehicle screw the top ring upwards and then once happy screw the lower one up to lock them together.
The best you can do then is measure or count how many threads you have raised/dropped it by to copy for the other side.
I have a set of instructions here for the RSX i will try and scan them for you later
My car sits at 25 inches from arch to floor, i get a decent ride and the hanling is excellent. The shock adjusters are on about 5 on the front and 4 or 5 on the rear iirc
