    can coding be done before hard wear is fitted ,

    like code for cruise control before fitting the stalk.

    Yes sometimes, but you can't guarantee that it work correctly when hardware installed & you'll bound to have a fault code as it'll look for it once coded but it won't be there

    Most people fit hardware then have it coded if it can't be done at same time

    As above, but some hardware/features wont work properly or at all when a fault is showing on that system, just fit hardware then code or even better, pay us to do the lot lol.

    On cruise it won't even code before fitting the parts as it will look for the stalk and throw out an error.
