    hi all,

with some mods in the pipeline. was wondering how much power and torque can the existing OE clutch take?

    car is 1.8T (190PS) S-line Quattro

anyone upgraded their clutch? anyone running high power in their B6 quattro?

    many makes available?

If your going big Turbo then a clutch is a must but if your gentle your be ok for a while.

Given abuse mine slips now with a little less than 230HP... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

You have to remember that in a true Quattro system like the A4's (Torsen) where all four wheels are permanently driven, the only weak point is the clutch. With FWD cars you have wheelspin at the front tyres. These will always lose traction long before the clutch which in effect protects it...

I'm unsure what power/torque levels the OE item is rated at but like Doc says, if you're going BT then it's an absolute must.

Give all the main tuning companies a ring but they will cost more than buying one from the US.

Doc, any news on the US clutch GB? Seems to have died back in March?

I'm interested in the Stage1 clutch and Alu flywheel combo - doing the groundwork for a high 200s output in the future...

Fidanza and Spec do flywheel and clutch combos for around $1000, rated from anywhere around torque of 300-600

Oettinger do upgraded clutches, don't know specs but I'm sure Danny at RSD can advise. I believe that 230bhp ish is about the limit if you are using all the power regularly.
