    Hi all

Will be doing a clutch and flywheel upgrade soon along with many other things.

Have been recommended a sachs 4 puk with std cover plate.

Was just after some feedback from people who have this setup really, it's my daily driver so I get stuck in traffic etc etc.

On the Sachs website it states not recommended for street use due to the aggressive start it gives.

If you have this setup please pop up and let me know how you find the clutch for day to day driving. I would hate to fit it and then find its too aggressive for what I want.

    Thanks in advance

I looked into this clutch setup as this is what tufty runs in his beast. I have just changed mine and gone for a standard luk dual mass flywheel and a c g motorsport stage 2 clutch kit as when mine is back on the road it will be my daily drive too. Its just another option to the setup you mentioned above which you may not have seen and it has good reviews on there site and from other users on here. Heres the link.

Thanks for the reply buddy! I have actually came across that company in my research travels, looks like really good quality components! I think I may have found my solution, flywheel and organic friction plate from TTV racing and run an OE pressure plate and slave. Works out very well price wise compared to the likes of the Sachs single mass conversion!! Jamie

Change of plan, I have spoken to Scott at Darkside Developments and he can give me exactly what I need for a good price!

It's a sachs organic friction plate, sachs cover plate, sachs slave but with their own single mass flywheel which weighs 10kg (same as OE iirc). Nice chap to deal with too

If you're using the car on a daily basis and like it to be comfortable, you should go with a DMF.

At the moment I'm also looking for a good configuration for my flywheel and clutch kit, but in the end I'm gonna choose cg motorsport I think.. :)

I hate DMF with a passion, they belong on diesels not petrols lol. I just want the weak link out of the equation yano.

I must say CG motorsport stuff looks very nice!

That would be great if you could, did you go dual mass or single? How much etc?

I went for a luk dual mass flywheel, I heard that the single mass doesn't do your bottom end any good, the dual friction clutch is rated up a 40% tourqe increase which I paid £280 for, I will let you know what the clutch is like, I've heard good things about CG Motorsport though so all should be good.

Was the £280 for just friction and pressure plate or did you get the slave too? I really don't think I will be running a dual mass, I know a few people who run single mass with no issues at all
