My flywheel has aparently started to show signs of death,
Im currently using a sache power clutch and luk dm flywheel.
Its been in about 20 months so ive sorted a new flywheel from luk under warrenty ( aslong as i remove it before the 2 year mark passes )
My car is running something like 300 bhp from a hybrid k04 so has quite high torque too,
Im thinking that i maywell need a new clutch too. There is no sign of slipping and very little sign of a dead flywheel at the moment,
What options do i have ?
Re fit the sache item ( if it looks ok )
fit a new luk item and see how it fairs
Empty the bank and get another sache power clutch
Go with the luk cover and sache 4 puck paddle plate?

I kind of need the impossible...
    Not stupid cost,
    Drivable as a daily
Able to cope with the power ( would love to make 350 one day )

    What would people recomend?

Do you have to sit in traffic at all?
I was worried it would judder.
Will the increased bite kill the DM flywheel faster? i mean this one only lasted 20 month max

Part of my journey to work is driving across a busy town... I have had the smallest amount of judder (very rare and only on the initial take up pulling away in first) but its not like pulling away in third gear type judder...

Longevity is an unknown... I have done around 6k miles since fitting it and so far all has been well... clutch wear is far too subjective to put a mileage on anyway... too many variables to predict... launches, town driving, level of tune, driving style all affect the longevity... only time will tell.... your DMF did appear to have a short life though but that still may not be due to the way you drive and could be a genuine failure... the next DMF you fit could well last triple that...

I chose my setup on performance rather than longevity... in theory my setup should last a while but I wanted an OEM feeling clutch pressure with more bite... the clamping force is increased due to the smaller surface area of the pucks over a normal plate so will handle the torque better and I get increased bite from the compound of the paddle material.. the clutch is a little snatchy if you get lazy letting the pedal out and I have stalled the engine a couple of times but generally its feels a nice setup and happily launches the car two up... isn't that right Mark ;P

I got a C&G competition clutch for my S3 with TTV SMF. The clutch is good for 370ft lb so they say. Clutch is nice a lite but get gearbox chatter from the flywheel which is very annoying.

bit of a thread revival.. but the gearbox on my amk s3 has shot itself with the bearing on the spline is shot to hell.. anyway i was looking at getting a new reco'ed box with quaife LSD... however i haven't been to sure about the clutch and pressure plate along with the flywheel as im aiming for around 500whp roughly.. so need something to handle that. but i have a few options in mind and i would appreciate some educated advise of you lot as you know your stuff!
