Clutch connection point in an S3

    Got my sprint blue S3, great looking car and a nice place to sit in. Having read all the reviews, the turbo lag and "disconnected" feel didn't come as a surprise. My gripe with the car so far is the clutch - i stall it a few times a day when accelerating from a full stop. The clutch release feels like - nothing, nothing, BAM - 5 cm connection point and then nothing, nothing until all the way up. There's no linearity to it. I practically never stalled my s2000 (which had a much heavier clutch), but i guess that doesn't mean i don't suck at operating it. Is this normal for a new clutch on the S3 or did i get a bad one?

    I used to have an S2000, and now I have an S3.

    I stalled it once the first time I drove it, but havnt stalled it again. It is a bit sharp but not so sharp that you shouldnt be able to get used to it quickly. See if you get used to it, and if not, take it back to the dealer and tell them your problem.

    Never stalled the S3 in 6 months / 6000 miles :applaus:

    No biggie.

    I stalled the demo unit pulling out of the dealer's courtyard.
    2 months later, I stalled my new car doing the same :keule:


    No more after that though.

    I've turned the engine off whilst moving with my knees hitting the key twice now but never stalled it.
