Cleaning throttle body and inlet - outside!

Nice easy one this evening! When people spray the inlet manifold and throttle body (mine are looking pretty tired), do you just use normal car primer/ paint / laquaer?

Sorry, I meant because its very pitted and stained, I was wondering if people clean them up or just spray them?

Alcohol based cleaner does mine,I haven't really had a filthy one because I've kept on top of it.

Heavy duty traffic film remover, then i used vht wrinkle black paint, looks amazing.

Ok then, I sprayed my charge pipe because that was badly marked but the inlet and throttle just seem to need cleaning mostly, ok ill give it a go!

Yeh I think I might clean it up but a respray would be better and easier to look after when it's all fresh.

Yeah got loads, ill try and upload some later, you can see the wrinkle effect but it doesnt do it justice, much better in the flesh.
