Cleaning the chrome around the windows?

The chrome effect surround to the windows is going slightly cloudy and I wondered if anyone had any tips for how to restore it. I think the usual paint polishes may be too harsh and could take the finish off as I would assume it's just a coated plastic.

Any ideas?

I use meguiars metal polish.

Brings them up nice and leaves a protective waterproof/weatherproof layer.

Its the same stuff i use on my tailpipes and ive never had any problems.

I use Meguiars 'Step 1' paint cleaner on mine - but any cleaner/wax/polish would do the same job :icon_thumright:
