    Hi Guys,

    just wanted to know what the best wax is to use to polish the car. I already have superguard on the car so when i usually wash it it looks good. another question is my front chrome grill isnt looking too good after a wash what product can you advise to give it more of a shine?

    cheers!

    wax isn't the same as polish.

    how old is the superguard? chances are most of it will have gone after a few months.

    have a look on a www.cleanyourcar.co.uk & www.polishedbliss.co.uk for lots of quality polishes, waxes etc.

    hi there, superguard was applied in march last year. are you saying it has worn off? salesman was saying it should last at least 3 years and i can then come back to get it reapplied.....

    I went for superguard on a peugeot 206 for the wife.
    I didn't see anything to make me think it was any better than a quality wax.
    TBH, I was hacked off I'd let myself fall for the salesman's patter.
    I use;

    1/ Meguires paint cleaner (maybe once or twice a year)
    2/ Meguires crystal polish (when I feel it needs a polish)
    3/ Collinite 915 Marque d'elegance wax (maybe 3 or 4 times year)

    The rest of the time, I just use Meguires shampoo and dry the car with a chamois and microfibre cloth.

    I use solvol, same as I use on the bike.
    I dunno if it's right, but it works.

    I'm no expert though, there are plenty know more about car cleaning on here.

    Check out the 'my S-line sportback' thread.

    One of the best waxes you can buy,is Zaino, its a synthetic wax, called a sealant, & is more of a complete system you do need to buy several products, but if you want the best this is definitely one of them.
