chrome door mirror covers

Hi peeps, I've found these door mirror covers on ebay and was just wondering do they just simply clip over the door mirror? Or is it a mirror off job?

Yeah they look sweet. I know they ain't oem but for £22 it's a wee bargain. I just did a quick google search though and it looks like a fiddly job. The mirror glass has to come out and electrics and heating elements have to be disconnected etc.

They'll be covers that are stuck to your existing mirrors with double sided tape, not the best.

They are chrome, all OEM S and RS mirrors are brushed aluminium, none of them are chrome or even polished Aluminium although some do polish them for some reason.

In fact, they are technically acid-etched aluminium finish, alder S4 type (B6) are thick and substantial with rounded edges, lateest, ie. RS4 type (B8.5) ar a lot thinner but are top quality item with nice sharp well engineered edges etc.

I have both, i'll post some detailed pics if anyone interested?

I keep bidding on some on eBay but they get stupid high, and there seems to be a little confusion on what fits what car too
Can see me buying gen ones to save hassle

Doesn't give me much confidence when they sound like a right Buggar to fit!
