I've been choked with the cold since sunday & it's making no signs of getting any better soon. My throat feels like it has been rubbed down with sandpaper, both my nostrils are blocked up & my head feels like it's been done over with a hammer. I've tried soothers, throat spray & lemsip hot lemons & i still feel awful. Any suggestions on a good cold remedie?

Get some olbas oil for your pillow, olbas pastilles for your throat, soon have you sorted. Nothing worse than being choked when the weather is so good. Get well soon.. :) x

Temporary head removal. Will allow a good nights sleep. Available from many dodgy online pharmacies.

Anyway, there is no cure for a cold, so you have 3 choices.

    1) Man up and be like a girl and deal with the pain.
    2) Spend a small fortune on cold remedy products available from any petrol station at rip off prices.
    3) **** all that and just buy a bottle of Irish whiskey and pour copious amounts into a nice cup of tea. And do it again, until you are able to get some sleep.

Olbas oil is good. I put a drop in a bowl of boiling water. Certainly clears the nasal passages. Just take on plenty of fluids to flush you out and plenty of vitamin c.
