Charcoal filter!?

I'm getting the usual tick tick tick from the N80 valve but can hear another similar sound coming from the rear of the wheel arch behind the liner.. I assume it's coming from the charcoal filter which is controlled by the N80 valve but it seems loud ish is this normal?
